Plantlife, a conservation charity, had announced the flower to be extinct in the UK, saying the last recorded sighting was in Buckinghamshire in 1986.
A spokesman for then said the sighting was wonderful news but added one plant did not mean
a summer or swallows nor that the species was now growing in great numbers.
One added the plant had now been reclassified as critically endangered rather than extinct.
